Soeur Hiến Nghiêm (Soeur Vrai dévouement)

Ordained in 2008 at the age of 27 and became a Dharma Teacher in 2016.

Originally from the U.K., Sister True Dedication came to the Plum Village tradition after discovering Thich Nhat Hanh’s teachings while working in a busy newsroom as a BBC journalist.

She spends her moments mentoring young monastics, editing Thich Nhat Hanh’s writings and guiding other projects linked to Engaged Buddhism and ecology, and supports the community with communications and media.

At home in the monastery, Sister True Dedication enjoys relaxing with her monastic siblings, drinking coffee, building community, savouring silence in nature, and (when appropriate) nurturing joy through comedy skits.
