Embracing the Wounded Child in Ourselves

par Sister Dang NghiemSeptember 20, 2021

Part of a new series of practices kindly offered by mindfulness teacher Sister Dang Nghiem, this audio offers guidance on the practice of embracing the wounded child in ourselves.

"Fortunately, we now have the Five Strengths of self-trust, diligent practice, mindfulness, the transformative power of concentration, and the insight of interbeing. We recognize that with our choices today, we can heal ourselves and we can heal our parents—and all our ancestors—through ourselves."

The content of this audio draws on Sister Dang Nghiem's latest book, Flowers in the Dark (2021), a deeply thoughtful guide to healing trauma with mindfulness practice. By bringing together her lived experience as a survivor, a certified MD, and an ordained Buddhist teacher, she offers a body-based, practical approach to healing from the most difficult and painful life experiences.
