Mindfulness, Concentration and Insight

When we breathe in and out with awareness, we are practicing mindful breathing and when we breathe mindfully, our mind is back to our body and we are fully alive in presence. Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh tells us that if we practice regularly, this energy will get stronger every day and will bring with it the energy of concentration. Together with the energy of mindfulness, concentration will allow us to look deeply into the nature of our suffering and generate an insight, which is key to our liberation.
