Reflecting on the Contents of Your Dreams
Part of a new series of practices kindly offered by mindfulness teacher Sister Dang Nghiem, this audio offers guidance on the practice of reflecting on the contents of our dreams.
"When you wake up from a disturbing dream, you may want to lie in bed for a while, returning to your mindful breathing and relaxing your body, part by part. Later, when you are more fully awake, you can bring up the contents of your dream in your sitting meditation so that you have a deeper understanding of the unresolved issue in your store consciousness."
The content of this audio draws on Sister Dang Nghiem's latest book, Flowers in the Dark (2021), a deeply thoughtful guide to healing trauma with mindfulness practice. By bringing together her lived experience as a survivor, a certified MD, and an ordained Buddhist teacher, she offers a body-based, practical approach to healing from the most difficult and painful life experiences.
