Frère Pháp Ứng (Frère Tortue)

Brother Phap Ung is a senior Dharma Teacher, originally from Vietnam, he arrived in the Netherlands as a teenage boat refugee, where he pursued his education and studies. In 1993, he was ordained into the Plum Village monastic community and became a Dharma Teacher in 1999.

He leads retreats around the world, including in the Netherlands and at the EIAB (Institute of Applied Buddhism - Germany) during the Dutch-language summer retreat. For many years, he accompanied Thich Nhat Hanh on global teaching tours and retreats.
