Dawn Chorus at Wigwell Nature Reserve

This recording was made one rather chilly morning, huddled by a bridge traversing a small stream that runs through the Wigwell Nature Reserve near Charlbury in Oxfordshire, UK. The gentle burble of the stream orientates and centres the listener, while birdsong fills the surrounding trees. Beyond this, in the adjacent field, the baa of sheep and the hoarse crow of a pheasant give the scene a charming pastoral quality, a soundscape common in this rural corner of West Oxfordshire.
