A scholar of Buddhism, Systems Theory and Deep Ecology, Dr Joanna Macy (02/05/29 - 19/07/25) was one of the most respected voices in movements for peace, justice and ecology. She interwove her academic knowledge with learnings from six decades of activism; wrote thirteen books, and taught a framework known as "The Work that Reconnects" - helping to transform despair and apathy in the face of social and environmental crises into constructive, collaborative action.
