In this short meditation, Thay invites us to use our breath to return to the present moment, so that we can be nourished by its calming and healing properties.
You are invited to use the pauses between gathas (verses) to let the words percolate into your awareness like rain absorbing into the soil.
Breathing in, I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out, I know I am breathing out.
In – out.
Breathing in, I calm my body and my mind.
Breathing out, I ease everything.
Calm – ease.
Breathing in, I smile.
Breathing out, I release all my worries and anxieties.
Smile – release.
Breathing in, I establish myself in the present moment.
Breathing out, I know this is a wonderful moment.
Present moment – wonderful moment.
In – out;
deep – slow;
calm – ease;
smile – release;
present moment – wonderful moment.
