In this recording, Brother Phap Man facilitates the meditation from Chapter 2, Exercise 3, of The Blooming of a Lotus (2009). Here we are invited to connect with wholesome images and sense impressions, which have the capacity to offer healing.
In this meditation, there are also examples of images and sense contacts that may give rise to painful feelings - such as the sensation of a toothache or the image of yellow skin caused by a sick liver. This practice helps us to remain mindful when encountering distress in our daily life so that we may be less afraid of it when it arises. It also helps us to connect more deeply with the concept of impermanence, and strengthens our intention to take care of our body in everyday life.
