Starting with awareness of the breath, Brother Phap Lai takes us on a four-step journey to freedom.
First, we tap into our freshness, regaining our pure, child-like qualities (the flower element within us).
Then, we are invited to take refuge in our solidity and stability (the mountain element within us).
After this, we imagine ourselves as a lake of clear, calm water, inviting stillness and evoking the quality of reflection.
Finally, we are invited to imagine ourselves as space: releasing and letting go of painful feelings; exploring internal spaciousness; attaining freedom.
