Joe Holtaway

Joe is a folk singer/songwriter from England who has been a friend of Plum Village since joining the Wake Up movement in 2011. Many of Joe's songs and deep relaxations with guitar feature on the Plum Village app.

Growing up with folk musician parents on the coast of Cornwall (South west England) Joe moved to London to study and became involved with peace and social justice movements including Quakers, Campaign Against Arms Trade, Greenpeace among others.

After reading "True Love" by Thay in 2011, Joe and guitar found their way to newly formed Wake Up London in 2011 and spent 10 years (excluding a year in Plum Village France) building the community with friends. Joe shares songs inspired by mindfulness practice, including the album Songs of Plum Village, and hosts the Wake Up London podcast.
