Brother Phap Huu

Brother Chân Pháp Hữu (Dharma Friend) first met Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village community as a child visiting from Canada. Touched by the joy and peace of the monastics, he followed his aspiration to become a monk at age 13. Ordained in 2002, he received full ordination in 2006 and received permission to teach in 2009.
As an abbot at Upper Hamlet, Plum Village France, Br. Pháp Hũu takes his time to connect with and understand his monastic and lay brothers. He is much appreciated as a skillful facilitator at Sangha gatherings.
His favorite practices are walking meditation and organizing retreats in Plum Village. He is interested in team building, coaching, and mentoring. When playing, Br. Pháp Hũu loves basketball and music.
He co-hosts 'The Way Out Is In' podcast produced by the Plum Village App. alongside the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation and Outrage + Optimism.
